Zenaida (Almendral) Alamon of the Bronx, N.Y. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the age of 88.
Visitation will be held at the Zuasola-Grillo Filipino Funeral Service, 44 Bay Avenue, Bloomfield, N.J. on Wednesday, August 28th, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday morning, August 29th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 125 Prospect Street, Nutley. The burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, N.J.
Zenaida was born in Binan Laguna, Phillippines on January 7, 1931 to Casmiro Almendral and Urbana Almero Almendral. She had attended dental school in the Phillippines where she had her own dental clinic. She then moved to the United States in 1978, settling in the Bronx.
Zenaida was the wife of the late Severino Alamon, Sr. She is survived by her children, Severino A. Alamon, Jr., Alejandro A. Alamon, Ericson A. Alamon, and Bayani A. Alamon; her siblings, Dr. Paterno A. Almendral, Francisco A. Almendral and Aida A. Almendral; grandchildren, Stephanie, Alexandra, Danielle, Kristoffer, Kristine, Michael, Mathew, Louellen, Benjamin, and Timothy; great-grandchildren, Aria, Zachary, Aidan, Sophia, Ainsley, and Luna.
